What is Iokatu?
Iokatu is an innovative platform that allows you to create Gymkana or escape room type games that mix the real world with the virtual one.
In short, it makes an event much more fun.
Our Game at WordCamp Bilbao 2025
This year, we have designed a special game for the WordCamp Bilbao to be held on the 10th and 11th of May at As Fabrik Bilbao.
The dynamic is very simple: using your mobile phone, you will be able to access a series of challenges that will invite you to:
- Connect with the WordPress community: Find attendees who meet certain requirements (people who like omelettes with onions, who are into SEO or web development, people from other cities or countries…).
- Discover sponsors: Visit the event sponsors’ booths and find out what services they offer to the WordPress community.
- Participate actively: Attend specific talks, workshops or activities proposed during the event.
Each completed challenge will bring you closer to a surprise prize that will be revealed at the end of the event.

Challenges will appear on your screen and you can complete them at your own pace throughout the event. - The game will be active during the first day of the event, and you will be able to participate at any time.
